Cassie Showalter Polk, owner of Smitten Cakes, lives in Lubbock, Texas where she was born and raised.

She started baking as a hobby back in 2001, but naturally found her niche and fell in love with cakes! Cassie learned her cake decorating skills through much research and trial and error. She is dedicated to her clients and feels so grateful to be a part of so many celebrations!

Her favorite part of creating custom cakes and cupcakes for clients is the reaction they have when they first see what Cassie has created. All the hard work is worth that first look.

In September of 2008, Cassie was privileged to work with Elisa Straus of Confetti Cakes in NYC during a private lesson. She continues to seek knowledge and growth through various workshops.
